Can’t Uninstall Acronis True Home Image – Acronis 2011 Cleanup Utility

My wife downloaded Acronis True Image Home a couple of years back and want it off her computer as it became useless to her. I have recently installed and uninstalled the program hoping that would fix the problem but it did not work. I now wonder how to fix this issue other than applying restore with my windows rescue disk.

Acronis True Image Home Features to Uninstall

As usual, I walk through control panel to uninstall Acronis True Image Home:
1. Exit Acronis True Image Home
2. Go to Start, and click on settings.
3. Go to your control panel.
4. Once there, click on the Add/Remove program icon.
You’ll see a big list of programs that are installed on your computer. Select the Acronis program.
Click uninstall, and confirm that you want to remove Acronis True Image Home.

This process should remove of the entire Acronis software. If however you are still finding files and folders that are associated with the program then you will need to manually delete data from the system registry. To get this done:
1. Type REGEDIT.EXE into the Run tool.
2. Look for any files or folders that are labeled with the same name as the Acronis True Image Home you are trying to delete.
3. Drag the file or folder into the recycle bin.
4. Empty the recycle bin and then restart your system.
