Can’t Uninstall Silverlight – The Official Microsoft Silverlight Installation

Silverlight is an internet browser plug in that provides functionality as those of Adobe Flash. It is designed to create engaging user experiences on the web by integrating multimedia, graphics, animations and interactivity be available in a single runtime environment. How does the Silverlight work on your PC?

Silverlight can download itself onto your computer automatically when you are watching videos, playing music or even just browsing the internet! Conventional way to uninstall Silverlight
1. Click the Start menu and select the Control panel.
2. Double click Add/Remove Programs, this should bring up everything that is currently installed on your computer.
3. Select Microsoft Silverlight and click the Remove button.
4. Follow the on screen instructions and press Yes to uninstall Silverlight.
5. Wait until the process is finished and restart your computer.

Normally, Silverlight is a fairly simple program to uninstall. But in most cases, if the Silverlight is corrupt, the removal option will be unavailable on the programs list of Add or Remove Programs. For the time being, you could either completely wipe up and reinstall your system (this will cause you to lose everything on your computer). Or you could download removal software to forcefully uninstall the Silverlight.

If you have to choose the option to forcibly uninstall Silverlight with a removal tool. First of all, you will have to quit all the running programs on your computer before starting the forcible removal. Then, run the removal program and find out the directory, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight, in drive C to start the removal. But the point is you should get a professional uninstaller which is held in very high regard amongst the internet community. So far, the Perfect Uninstaller could be a good option if all you are looking for is a way to delete Microsoft Silverlight or remove any other programs such as Office 2008 that are causing hassle.
