CheckDisk Stop Working – How to Completely Remove CheckDisk From Your pc

CheckDisk is a powerful tool for searching and repairing disk errors. It is quite similar to the ScanDisk tool or chkdsk.exe, supplied with the Windows operating systems. You can select either standard or full tests. The full test additionally performs a sector check. It is capable of finding bad sectors on your disk and marking them as such. CheckDisk will work with HDDs (including SCSI and RAID), removable media and CDs.

In case CheckDisk become useless, you can locate the CheckDisk within Windows control panel then remove it with the Windows removal wizard.

  • Click Start and go to Control panel
  • Open the Add/Remove utility of Windows
  • Locate CheckDisk in the list and click Remove


If the
CheckDisk can not be found in Windows Control Panel, you may need to follow the instruction to uninstall CheckDisk completely and safely with Perfect uninstaller.

  • Close all files, folders and processes relating to CheckDisk. It is better that you can close all other running programs.
  • Run Perfect Uninstaller

  • Highlight CheckDisk in the“Display Name” list and then click“Uninstall” to proceed.
  • Follow the prompts to finish the removal of CheckDisk.
