Cyberlink Powerdirector 10 Remove Trial – How To Uninstall Powerdirector?

How do you uninstall an expired program? My aunt is on a Windows 7 x64 OS (clean installed from a Vista). When she clean installed, she also downloaded and installed the given software Cyberlink PowerDirector ver.10 from HP. This is part of a suite, as she also installed other Cyberlink products. Well, I don’t need the Cyberlink PowerDirector app. anymore. When she tried to uninstall it through Control Panel>Programs Menu, she gets this error message: 1628: Failed to complete installation. I get 1628 error every time I try. I tried to manual delete the program folder and registry entries as well but still get this error. Trying to reinstall the same version doesn’t work either.

My computer came with PowerDirector 6 pre-installed with my HP Laptop. I wanted to update it, so there was this “upgrade now” button, and I got half price off of the brand new version, PowerDirector 7. I payed online and downloaded it right away.
When I went to install, it said there was a previous version already on, and needed to uninstall it, and asked for me to click continue for it to do so. An error message appeared saying “cannot find SKUtil.dll”
    So the installation quit.
I went to uninstall the program through the Control Panel, and it didn’t because of the same error message. Can Perfect Uninstaller help this out?
