I have scanned my windows partition with xfprot (from a linux live cd) and it discovers the following possible virus:
W32/Swizzor-based.2!Maximus
The only thing is, the program that it thinks is infected is a program that I have created. The executable in question had not been changed in the past year which leads me to believe that some code that I have written is tripping the virus definition. My program uses a function that calls all open processes and lists them while running, so maybe that is what could be misconstrued as a virus. If anyone could please list what system processes that this virus alters/reads so that I may compare it to the code that I have written, I would certainly appreciate it. If in fact there is a backdoor/virus within my program that is being concealed, I would also like to know if I may remove it conventionally. Thank you.
