HDD Control is invading your pc – How Can I Remove HDD Control Infection Immediately

HDD Control is a rogue computer optimization program that pretends to scan your hard drive and registry for errors. After the fake scan it states that your computer has serious problems and prompts you to pay for a full version of the program to fix those problems. Of course, it won’t fix anything even if you purchase it because HDD Control is a scam. This scareware comes from misleading or infected websites. It pretends to be a useful program or an update. HDDControl is also promoted via trojans and other malicious software. Once installed, this rogue program will be configured to run each time you log on to Windows. It will pop up and start to scan your computer without your permission

HDD Control, as well as other Spyware, are constantly evolving and becoming more advanced to avoid detection. HDD Control along with its variants can install in different locations and even when you try to uninstall it you find they reappear when you reboot your computer.

To remove HDD Control, you can locate the HDD Control within Windows control panel then remove it with the Windows removal wizard.

  • Click Start and go to Control panel
  • Open the Add/Remove utility of Windows
  • Locate and highlight HDD Control in the list and click Remove
