avg-2010AVG 2010 doesn’t work for me consistently. One day it’s fine, the next day it says I have no active components. Every time I try uninstalling it using Control Panel and the AVG 2010 Uninstall from the Start Menu, but it refuses to uninstall. I get a internal error when I go to uninstall or switch to the free version.

How Do I Uninstall AVG 2010?
1. On computer desktop, click on the “Start” button.
2. Find and double click on “Control Panel”.
3. Once in the control panel, find out where the “Add / Remove Program” or “Uninstall a Progam” icon is.
4. There is a list of programs that are installed on the computer. Find the AVG 2010 icon in the list.
Select AVG 2010 and click on uninstall.

This should help remove AVG 2010 from computer somehow. Otherwise, for some reason it fails to uninstall itself. If this is your case, then there’s really one more option left for you to do in order to uninstall AVG 2010.

Forcibly Uninstall AVG 2010
Since Windows Add/ Remove Programs can’t help uninstall corrupted or half-uninstalled AVG 2010, then you have to take the risk to manually edit hard drive and registry. Nevertheless, you don’t need to take the risk in modifying registry value and removing directories of AVG 2010 in hard drive. Perfect Uninstaller can easily figure this out with forcible removal utility.
