My dad purchased my computer from a local shop a month or so ago. The PC came with Office 2007. Today I notice that lost my icons showing that files are Word, Excel, etc. Some research reveals that I need to activate the software. I grab my license info and click the activate button. It doesn’t do anything. I figure that I should just reinstall so I grab my CD and try to uninstall Office. I receive an error message that the software has a corrupted file and cannot be uninstalled.

I went to uninstall form the retail disc and it tries to prepare the files but fails and offers to send the error report. I try to “Change” and “Remove” in the Control Panel but neither works. I think I’ve exhausted all of my available options and soon I learn that this is a common problem for users that are running Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007.
