How NetAssistant arrives on your PC?
I am running Firefox 3.6.13 on MS XP, Home Edition, version 2002, Service Pack 3. Two ways to remove NetAssistant
Through Windows built-in uninstaller:
From the Start Menu, open the Control Panel
Select the Add or Remove Programs (WinXP) or Programs and Features (Vista & Win7)
From the list of installed programs, select NetAssistant
Click Changes/Remove (WinXP) or Uninstall (Vista & Win7)
When the application states it is uninstalled, reboot your computer

I’m cleaning my moms computer of every virus and unnecessary program. I go to uninstall Freeze.com and Windows asks me if I should allow NetAssistant to update software on the computer. I googled the publisher, W3i, and my web of trust add-on tells me the first 4 results are unsafe. I have Malwarebytes and I did a full scan but no results. Im pretty confident its a virus.
