pc-cleanerFor all intent and purposes my brother technically uninstalled the PC Cleaner that cannot be found on the computer. However when the technicians from Verizon and Gateway go to install the Verizon McAfee Security Suite it says it cannot be installed until the PC Cleaner is uninstalled. Both technicians gave the computer a though going over and they cannot find the cleaner. Where is the PC Cleaner and how can you permanently remove it? At this time his computer is unprotected.

What is PC Cleaner adware?
PC Cleaner is adware that acts as if it’s going to rid your computer of a spyware infection. When your computer is infected, a screen may pop up to prompt you to buy a malware remover for PC Cleaner, but in fact you’re being tricked into paying for a program that will worsen the problem. To rid yourself of PC Cleaner, you’ll have to delete the application and all of the registry entries the program created. Once you’ve done that, PC Cleaner and the plague of pop-ups that comes with it should be gone.

PC Cleaner manual removal steps
1. Open the Task Manager by simultaneously pushing the “Ctrl,” “Alt” and “Delete” keys on your keyboard.
