Uninstalling F-Secure Internet Security – What Do I Do?

Thus, it is very important to remove F-Secure 2010 before installation of a 2011 or 2012 product.

Before the new files of F-Secure 2011 are copied onto a hard disk, the Setup Wizard scans the disk for software incompatible. Records in the system registry are recognized by the Setup Wizard as fully installed F-Secure 2010 software, even though the product was removed and is no longer installed on the PC. As a result, Setup Wizard of F-Secure 2011 asks to delete the detected incompatible software manually and terminates the installation process.

Usually, F-Secure Internet Security 2010 can be uninstalled with the bundled uninstaller on users computer of any system version.
To uninstall F-Secure Internet Security 2010 from Windows XP

  1. Click Start, and then select to open Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.

  4. Scroll down to your F-Secure 2010 and click Change/Remove.
  5. Confirm the removal process once you see the setup wizard shows up.
  6. When asked, restart your computer.

To uninstall F-Secure Internet Security 2010 from Windows Vista

  1. Click Start, and open up Control Panel.
  2. Click Uninstall a program.
  3. Scroll down to your F-Secure 2010 and click Uninstall/Change.
  4. Confirm the removal process if the setup wizard comes up.
  5. When asked, restart your computer.

To uninstall F-Secure Internet Security 2010 from Windows 7

  1. Click Start, and then choose Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Programs and Features.

  5. Confirm the removal process when the setup wizard comes up.
  6. When asked, restart your computer.

By taking steps above, most users should have removed F-Secure Internet Security 2010 from their computer after the Windows setup window is closed.
