What Is Sonic Update Manager – How Do I Uninstall Sonic Update Manager?

My sister recently bought a Dell Inspiron 600M. It came with a variety of software already installed when she received it. Now, whenever she boots up or opens the SONIC Digital Media LE v7 software, the Sonic Update Manager opens and tries to ”update” the software. She interrupted the Sonic DL update manager when it started an automatic updating. After that, whenever I start her computer it pops up:
To close it temporarily I keep Xing out and eventually it stops until I turn my computer back on.
The pop ups say:
1. SONIC UPDATE MANAGER
Please wait while windows configures Sonic Update Manager the other windows that pop up
2. SONIC UPDATE MANAGER
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-room or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the Sonic disk then click okay.
3. An installation package for the Sonic Update Manager cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package “UM.MSI”

How can you complete the update or just delete the Sonic Update Manager that is making this pop?
